About Automation - The Car Company Tycoon Game
Automation - The Car Company Tycoon Game is a detailed simulation from Camshaft Software where you design cars and engines from the ground up. You choose everything from the engine layout to the body shape, then run a car company, deciding what to build, how to price it and how to beat your rivals. It is mainly single player, with online and mod support. It is still in Early Access. The makers recommend a GTX 970 or R9 290X and 16 GB of memory, so a mid-range gaming PC runs it well.
What Automation - The Car Company Tycoon Game needs
In plain words: to play at all it needs almost any graphics, even the graphics built into the processor, and to play it well the makers suggest an entry-level graphics card, with 16GB of memory.
| Part | Minimum | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| Graphics card | Support Shader Model 5.0 (Intel HD4000 Integrated, Geforce 400 Series, Radeon HD2000 Series) | AMD 290x or nVidia 970GTX or Better |
| Processor | Dual Core | Recent Intel i5/i7 or AMD 6 core or better |
| Memory (RAM) | 8 GB RAM | 16 GB RAM |
| Storage | 30 GB available space | 30 GB available space |

Will my computer play Automation - The Car Company Tycoon Game?
On most computers we find the graphics card for you. Add your processor and memory, and we will tell you if it plays, and what to upgrade if not.
A low-spec PC or a high-spec PC?
The gap between the minimum and recommended spec is modest, so a mid-range gaming PC gives a good experience.
On a PC that only just meets the minimum, the game will start and play, but on low settings: simpler shadows and textures, shorter view distances and fewer frames each second, so fast moments can feel less smooth. A 1080p screen is the sensible match.
On a PC that meets or beats the recommended spec, you can turn the settings up: sharper textures, proper shadows and lighting, more detail in the distance, and a smoother picture. A stronger PC also lets you use a sharper 1440p or high-refresh screen.
