Crimson Desert Enhanced: PC requirements and the PC you need

About Crimson Desert Enhanced

Crimson Desert is a single player open-world action adventure from Pearl Abyss, set on the fantasy continent of Pywel. You play Kliff, who sets out to rebuild his Greymane band of mercenaries and protect the land from a growing danger. The journey takes you through wild countryside, busy cities, old ruins and the strange realm known as the Abyss, with plenty of hard-hitting sword fights along the way. It is rated PEGI 18. It is demanding on graphics: the makers recommend an RTX 2080 or RX 6700 XT and 16 GB of memory, so a stronger card helps.

What Crimson Desert Enhanced needs

In plain words: to play at all it needs an entry-level graphics card, and to play it well the makers suggest a modern mid-range graphics card, with 16GB of memory.

A low-spec PC or a high-spec PC?

For this game the gap between the minimum and the recommended spec is big, so a better PC makes a very noticeable difference.

On a PC that only just meets the minimum, the game will start and play, but on low settings: simpler shadows and textures, shorter view distances and fewer frames each second, so fast moments can feel less smooth. A 1080p screen is the sensible match.

On a PC that meets or beats the recommended spec, you can turn the settings up: sharper textures, proper shadows and lighting, more detail in the distance, and a smoother picture. A stronger PC also lets you use a sharper 1440p or high-refresh screen.
