About Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen
Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen is an open-world action role-playing game from Capcom. You play the Arisen, chosen after a dragon steals your heart, exploring a large fantasy land and taking on giant monsters such as griffins and cyclops, whose bodies you can climb onto to land blows. You travel with Pawns, computer-controlled companions you create and teach. It is a single-player game, and this edition includes the extra Bitterblack Isle area. It is rated PEGI 18. The makers recommend a GTX 760 and 8 GB of memory, so it runs on modest hardware.
What Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen needs
In plain words: to play at all it needs almost any graphics, even the graphics built into the processor, and to play it well the makers suggest basic graphics: built-in graphics on a modern processor, or an old entry-level card, with 8GB of memory.
| Part | Minimum | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| Graphics card | Radeon HD 5870 or equivalent | NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 or equivalent |
| Processor | Intel Core i5 660 CPU or equivalent | Intel Core i7-4770K or equivalent |
| Memory (RAM) | 4 GB RAM | 8 GB RAM |
| Storage | 20 GB available space | 20 GB available space |

Will my computer play Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen?
On most computers we find the graphics card for you. Add your processor and memory, and we will tell you if it plays, and what to upgrade if not.
A low-spec PC or a high-spec PC?
This is a light game: almost any of our gaming PCs will run it comfortably at high settings.
On a PC that only just meets the minimum, the game will start and play, but on low settings: simpler shadows and textures, shorter view distances and fewer frames each second, so fast moments can feel less smooth. A 1080p screen is the sensible match.
On a PC that meets or beats the recommended spec, you can turn the settings up: sharper textures, proper shadows and lighting, more detail in the distance, and a smoother picture. A stronger PC also lets you use a sharper 1440p or high-refresh screen.
