About Escape Room - Der kranke Kollege
Escape Room - Der kranke Kollege is a free escape-room puzzle game from Bitbeast Games. You call round to see a colleague who is off sick, only to find yourself trapped in his flat, and must search rooms, find clues and solve puzzles to uncover his secrets and get out. You can play alone or team up with a friend in online co-op. The makers recommend a GTX 970 or R9 390 and 8 GB of memory, so a mid-range gaming PC runs it well.
What Escape Room - Der kranke Kollege needs
In plain words: to play at all it needs almost any graphics, even the graphics built into the processor, and to play it well the makers suggest an entry-level graphics card, with 8GB of memory.
| Part | Minimum | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| Graphics card | Nvidia 450 / AMD equivalent with 1GB of Video RAM | Nvidia 970/AMD 390 or equivalent with 3GB+ of Video RAM |
| Processor | Intel i3 / AMD FX series or equivalent | Intel i5 4650 / AMD FX-8320 or equivalent |
| Memory (RAM) | 4 GB RAM | 8 GB RAM |

Will my computer play Escape Room - Der kranke Kollege?
On most computers we find the graphics card for you. Add your processor and memory, and we will tell you if it plays, and what to upgrade if not.
A low-spec PC or a high-spec PC?
The gap between the minimum and recommended spec is modest, so a mid-range gaming PC gives a good experience.
On a PC that only just meets the minimum, the game will start and play, but on low settings: simpler shadows and textures, shorter view distances and fewer frames each second, so fast moments can feel less smooth. A 1080p screen is the sensible match.
On a PC that meets or beats the recommended spec, you can turn the settings up: sharper textures, proper shadows and lighting, more detail in the distance, and a smoother picture. A stronger PC also lets you use a sharper 1440p or high-refresh screen.
