About F1® 24
F1 24 is the official Formula 1 racing game from Codemasters, featuring the teams, drivers and circuits of the 2024 season. You can race in a full driver career, run your own team, or take on friends online and in local split screen, with settings that suit both newcomers and experienced sim racers. It also supports VR headsets and steering wheels, and has in-game purchases. It is rated PEGI 3. It is quite demanding: the makers recommend an RTX 2070 or RX 6600 XT and 16 GB of memory, so a stronger card helps.
What F1® 24 needs
In plain words: to play at all it needs a mid-range graphics card from a few years ago, and to play it well the makers suggest a decent mid-range graphics card, with 16GB of memory.
| Part | Minimum | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| Graphics card | NVIDIA GTX 1060 (6GB) | GTX 1660Ti (VR) | RTX 2060 (RT) // AMD RX 480 (8GB) | RX 590 (VR) | 6700XT (RT) // Intel Arc A380 (VR/RT) | NVIDIA RTX 2070 (+VR) | RTX 3070 (RT) // AMD RX 6600XT | RX 6700XT (VR) | RX 6800 (RT) // Intel Arc A580 (VR/RT) |

| Memory (RAM) | 8 GB RAM | 16 GB RAM |
| Storage | 100 GB available space | 100 GB available space |

Will my computer play F1® 24?
On most computers we find the graphics card for you. Add your processor and memory, and we will tell you if it plays, and what to upgrade if not.
A low-spec PC or a high-spec PC?
The gap between the minimum and recommended spec is modest, so a mid-range gaming PC gives a good experience.
On a PC that only just meets the minimum, the game will start and play, but on low settings: simpler shadows and textures, shorter view distances and fewer frames each second, so fast moments can feel less smooth. A 1080p screen is the sensible match.
On a PC that meets or beats the recommended spec, you can turn the settings up: sharper textures, proper shadows and lighting, more detail in the distance, and a smoother picture. A stronger PC also lets you use a sharper 1440p or high-refresh screen.

Questions about F1® 24 on PC
What graphics card do I need for F1® 24?
The makers say the minimum is NVIDIA GTX 1060 (6GB) | GTX 1660Ti (VR) | RTX 2060 (RT) // AMD RX 480 (8GB) | RX 590 (VR) | 6700XT (RT) // Intel Arc A380 (VR/RT), and they recommend NVIDIA RTX 2070 (+VR) | RTX 3070 (RT) // AMD RX 6600XT | RX 6700XT (VR) | RX 6800 (RT) // Intel Arc A580 (VR/RT). In plain words: a decent mid-range graphics card for a good experience.
How much memory (RAM) does F1® 24 need?
At least 8GB, and 16GB is recommended. 16GB is the sensible amount for a gaming PC today.
Is F1® 24 multiplayer?
Yes. You can play it single player, multiplayer, player versus player, online player versus player, LAN play, co-op, online co-op or split screen.
Can a gaming PC from Sandbox Computers run F1® 24?
Yes. 99 of our PCs meet the recommended spec, from £789. They are built and tested in Worcester.
How we match: we compare the graphics card and the memory in each PC with the makers' spec, because those decide most of how a game runs. For very new or demanding games, ask us and we will check the processor too. More help: graphics cards explained, how much RAM, which screen.
