Granblue Fantasy: Relink: PC requirements and the PC you need

About Granblue Fantasy: Relink

Granblue Fantasy: Relink is an action role-playing game from Cygames, based on the long-running Japanese Granblue Fantasy series. You lead a party of four through a story set among floating islands in the sky, choosing from a cast of characters with very different fighting styles, from swords to guns and magic. Quests can be taken on alone, with computer-controlled allies, or in online co-op with up to four players. It is rated PEGI 12. It is demanding on graphics: the makers recommend an RTX 2080 or RX 6700 XT and 16 GB of memory.

What Granblue Fantasy: Relink needs

In plain words: to play at all it needs a mid-range graphics card from a few years ago, and to play it well the makers suggest a modern mid-range graphics card, with 16GB of memory.

A low-spec PC or a high-spec PC?

For this game the gap between the minimum and the recommended spec is big, so a better PC makes a very noticeable difference.

On a PC that only just meets the minimum, the game will start and play, but on low settings: simpler shadows and textures, shorter view distances and fewer frames each second, so fast moments can feel less smooth. A 1080p screen is the sensible match.

On a PC that meets or beats the recommended spec, you can turn the settings up: sharper textures, proper shadows and lighting, more detail in the distance, and a smoother picture. A stronger PC also lets you use a sharper 1440p or high-refresh screen.
