About INDIKA

INDIKA is a third-person story game from Odd Meter, set in an alternative version of Russia in the 19th century. You play Indika, a young nun sent on an errand outside her convent, who travels through a harsh and strange land with an unwelcome companion: the voice of the devil in her head. It mixes exploration, puzzles and dark humour with serious questions about faith. It is single player. It is demanding: the makers recommend an RX 6700 XT, RTX 3060 Ti or Arc A770 and 16 GB of memory.

What INDIKA needs

In plain words: to play at all it needs a mid-range graphics card from a few years ago, and to play it well the makers suggest a modern mid-range graphics card, with 16GB of memory.

A low-spec PC or a high-spec PC?

For this game the gap between the minimum and the recommended spec is big, so a better PC makes a very noticeable difference.

On a PC that only just meets the minimum, the game will start and play, but on low settings: simpler shadows and textures, shorter view distances and fewer frames each second, so fast moments can feel less smooth. A 1080p screen is the sensible match.

On a PC that meets or beats the recommended spec, you can turn the settings up: sharper textures, proper shadows and lighting, more detail in the distance, and a smoother picture. A stronger PC also lets you use a sharper 1440p or high-refresh screen.
