About MONSTER HUNTER RISE
Monster Hunter Rise is an action game from Capcom in which you become a hunter protecting the village of Kamura. You track and fight giant monsters across large maps, using your choice of many weapon types, the climbing Wirebug and loyal animal companions, then carve materials from your kills to craft better weapons and armour. You can hunt alone or with up to three friends online. It is rated PEGI 12. The makers recommend a GTX 1060 or RX 570 and 8 GB of memory, so a mid-range gaming PC runs it well.
What MONSTER HUNTER RISE needs
In plain words: to play at all it needs almost any graphics, even the graphics built into the processor, and to play it well the makers suggest a mid-range graphics card from a few years ago, with 8GB of memory.
| Part | Minimum | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| Graphics card | NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 1030 (DDR4) or AMD Radeon™ RX 550 | NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1060 (VRAM 3GB) or AMD Radeon™ RX 570 (VRAM 4GB) |
| Processor | Intel® Core™ i3-4130 or Core™ i5-3470 or AMD FX™-6100 | Intel® Core™ i5-4460 or AMD FX™-8300 |
| Memory (RAM) | 8 GB RAM | 8 GB RAM |
| Storage | 36 GB available space | 36 GB available space |

Will my computer play MONSTER HUNTER RISE?
On most computers we find the graphics card for you. Add your processor and memory, and we will tell you if it plays, and what to upgrade if not.
A low-spec PC or a high-spec PC?
The gap between the minimum and recommended spec is modest, so a mid-range gaming PC gives a good experience.
On a PC that only just meets the minimum, the game will start and play, but on low settings: simpler shadows and textures, shorter view distances and fewer frames each second, so fast moments can feel less smooth. A 1080p screen is the sensible match.
On a PC that meets or beats the recommended spec, you can turn the settings up: sharper textures, proper shadows and lighting, more detail in the distance, and a smoother picture. A stronger PC also lets you use a sharper 1440p or high-refresh screen.
