About NBA 2K22
NBA 2K22 is a basketball simulation from Visual Concepts, featuring real NBA teams and players. You can play quick matches, guide a franchise or build up your own player's career, alone, side by side on the same screen or online. Please note that the makers closed its online servers at the end of 2023, so modes that need those servers no longer work. It includes in-game purchases. It is rated PEGI 3. The makers recommend a GTX 770 or R9 270 and 8 GB of memory, so any of our gaming PCs handles it easily.
What NBA 2K22 needs
In plain words: to play at all it needs almost any graphics, even the graphics built into the processor, and to play it well the makers suggest basic graphics: built-in graphics on a modern processor, or an old entry-level card, with 8GB of memory.
| Part | Minimum | Recommended |

Will my computer play NBA 2K22?
On most computers we find the graphics card for you. Add your processor and memory, and we will tell you if it plays, and what to upgrade if not.
A low-spec PC or a high-spec PC?
This is a light game: almost any of our gaming PCs will run it comfortably at high settings.
On a PC that only just meets the minimum, the game will start and play, but on low settings: simpler shadows and textures, shorter view distances and fewer frames each second, so fast moments can feel less smooth. A 1080p screen is the sensible match.
On a PC that meets or beats the recommended spec, you can turn the settings up: sharper textures, proper shadows and lighting, more detail in the distance, and a smoother picture. A stronger PC also lets you use a sharper 1440p or high-refresh screen.
Our PCs that meet the recommended spec
These should play NBA 2K22 well. Cheapest first.

Questions about NBA 2K22 on PC
What graphics card do I need for NBA 2K22?
The makers say the minimum is NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 450 1GB/ ATI® Radeon™ HD 7770 1 GB or better, and they recommend NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 770 2GB/ ATI® Radeon™ R9 270 2GB or better. In plain words: basic graphics: built-in graphics on a modern processor, or an old entry-level card for a good experience.
How much memory (RAM) does NBA 2K22 need?
At least 4GB, and 8GB is recommended. 16GB is the sensible amount for a gaming PC today.
Is NBA 2K22 multiplayer?
Yes. You can play it single player, multiplayer, player versus player, online player versus player, co-op, online co-op, split-screen co-op or split screen.
Can a gaming PC from Sandbox Computers run NBA 2K22?
Yes. 109 of our PCs meet the recommended spec, from £579. They are built and tested in Worcester.
How we match: we compare the graphics card and the memory in each PC with the makers' spec, because those decide most of how a game runs. For very new or demanding games, ask us and we will check the processor too. More help: graphics cards explained, how much RAM, which screen.
