About No Man's Sky
No Man's Sky is Hello Games' space exploration and survival game. You travel a practically endless universe of planets, each generated with its own landscapes, creatures and weather, land your ship wherever you like, build bases, trade and fight. Years of free updates have added multiplayer, base building and much more, and you can explore with friends. The makers' minimum is a GTX 1060 or RX 470 with 8 GB of memory; a stronger PC shows the planets at their best.
What No Man's Sky needs
In plain words: to play at all it needs an entry-level graphics card, with at least 8GB of memory.

Will my computer play No Man's Sky?
On most computers we find the graphics card for you. Add your processor and memory, and we will tell you if it plays, and what to upgrade if not.
A low-spec PC or a high-spec PC?
On a PC that only just meets the minimum, the game will start and play, but on low settings: simpler shadows and textures, shorter view distances and fewer frames each second, so fast moments can feel less smooth. A 1080p screen is the sensible match.
On a PC that meets or beats the recommended spec, you can turn the settings up: sharper textures, proper shadows and lighting, more detail in the distance, and a smoother picture. A stronger PC also lets you use a sharper 1440p or high-refresh screen.
