About Vigor
Vigor is a free-to-play online looter shooter from Bohemia Interactive, set in Norway after a war. You go into short matches against other players to grab valuable loot and get out alive, then use what you find to build and upgrade your own shelter. It is played online against others and has in-game purchases. It is rated PEGI 16. The makers recommend a GTX 1060 or RX 580 and 16 GB of memory, so a mid-range gaming PC runs it well.
What Vigor needs
In plain words: to play at all it needs basic graphics: built-in graphics on a modern processor, or an old entry-level card, and to play it well the makers suggest a mid-range graphics card from a few years ago, with 16GB of memory.
| Part | Minimum | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| Graphics card | NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 / AMD Radeon R9 280 | NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 / AMD Radeon RX 580 |
| Processor | Intel Core i3-8100 / AMD Ryzen 3 1300X | Intel Core i7-8700K / AMD Ryzen 7 3700X |
| Memory (RAM) | 8 GB RAM | 16 GB RAM |
| Storage | 18 GB available space | 18 GB available space |

Will my computer play Vigor?
On most computers we find the graphics card for you. Add your processor and memory, and we will tell you if it plays, and what to upgrade if not.
A low-spec PC or a high-spec PC?
The gap between the minimum and recommended spec is modest, so a mid-range gaming PC gives a good experience.
On a PC that only just meets the minimum, the game will start and play, but on low settings: simpler shadows and textures, shorter view distances and fewer frames each second, so fast moments can feel less smooth. A 1080p screen is the sensible match.
On a PC that meets or beats the recommended spec, you can turn the settings up: sharper textures, proper shadows and lighting, more detail in the distance, and a smoother picture. A stronger PC also lets you use a sharper 1440p or high-refresh screen.

Questions about Vigor on PC
What graphics card do I need for Vigor?
The makers say the minimum is NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 / AMD Radeon R9 280, and they recommend NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 / AMD Radeon RX 580. In plain words: a mid-range graphics card from a few years ago for a good experience.
How much memory (RAM) does Vigor need?
At least 8GB, and 16GB is recommended. 16GB is the sensible amount for a gaming PC today.
Is Vigor multiplayer?
Yes. You can play it multiplayer, player versus player or online player versus player.
Can a gaming PC from Sandbox Computers run Vigor?
Yes. 109 of our PCs meet the recommended spec, from £579. They are built and tested in Worcester.
How we match: we compare the graphics card and the memory in each PC with the makers' spec, because those decide most of how a game runs. For very new or demanding games, ask us and we will check the processor too. More help: graphics cards explained, how much RAM, which screen.
