About ZM Desktop Elf
ZM Desktop Elf from Duoyi Games is a free desktop companion program rather than a traditional game. An animated character lives on your screen, and you can interact with her by clicking, change her outfits and use a behaviour editor to decide how she reacts to you. Players can share their creations through the Steam Workshop. It is free to play. The makers recommend a GTX 1050 Ti or RX 470 and 8 GB of memory, which any of our gaming PCs handles easily.
What ZM Desktop Elf needs
In plain words: to play at all it needs basic graphics: built-in graphics on a modern processor, or an old entry-level card, and to play it well the makers suggest an entry-level graphics card, with 8GB of memory.
| Part | Minimum | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| Graphics card | GeForce GTX 760/AMD HD7950 | GeForce GTX 1050ti/AMD RX 470 |
| Processor | Intel Core i5-7400/AMD Ryzen 3 1300X | Intel Core i5-10500/AMD Ryzen 5 6600H |
| Memory (RAM) | 4 GB RAM | 8 GB RAM |
| Storage | 2 GB available space | 2 GB available space |

Will my computer play ZM Desktop Elf?
On most computers we find the graphics card for you. Add your processor and memory, and we will tell you if it plays, and what to upgrade if not.
A low-spec PC or a high-spec PC?
This is a light game: almost any of our gaming PCs will run it comfortably at high settings.
On a PC that only just meets the minimum, the game will start and play, but on low settings: simpler shadows and textures, shorter view distances and fewer frames each second, so fast moments can feel less smooth. A 1080p screen is the sensible match.
On a PC that meets or beats the recommended spec, you can turn the settings up: sharper textures, proper shadows and lighting, more detail in the distance, and a smoother picture. A stronger PC also lets you use a sharper 1440p or high-refresh screen.
